Found them at this little marina where they steamed and cleaned them for $10.95 a pound! Bought 3 and braved the windy Nehalem Bay as we waited.
They let him taste the crab's heart (seriously?) and he said it tasted like the creamiest of butters!
Time to head back to the beach house where I needed a little time in Bruce and Kai's special patio. The sun was so warm, hummingbirds feeding nearby and the sound of the ocean surrounding me! Heaven!!
I thought if better go help Cheryl with dinner and came up to find Joe and Brice cracking all the crab for our crab salad and hot garlic bread dinner. Cheryl made her own crab sauce with ketchup, chili sauce, mayo, horseradish, worchestshire sauce and lemon juice and her own thousand island with mayo, ketchup sweet relish and lemon juice. Best beach dinner ever. Couldn't get enough of that crab!
And, of course, more vino!
So jelly! Yum!
