Whew!

It is Wednesday, June 11th and nothing much to report except we made it to Vancouver B.C. yesterday after a leisurely ride thru The Oregon Coast until we got back on I5 in Washinton.

The border crossing took us an hour in traffic and then almost that long to our downtown hotel in rush hour traffic!
This pic is deceiving as once you get to the end of the bridge you are in traffic! That did not make for a very nice, touchy feely Joe! We were both tired after an 8 hour day! Our hitel was downtown which meant more traffic and then once we find the Comfort Inn, we had to walk out luggage up steps to the luggage rack!  By this time, neither of us had any ounce of human kindness left!

Whew! Made it to our air conditioned room and just relaxed! Once we became nicer, we took each other out to Doolin's the Irish Pub next door. I had the Blackened Salmon which was great and Joe had a beer and Shepherd's Pie. We were much kinder, gentler people then! Went back to the room and had a great night's rest!!!!

This morning I repacked what I'd need for the Danali portion of the trip.

I am a backpacker!  Believe it or not, I got 3 days worth of stuff in that pack! Not sur I could really walk with it, but all my stuff is in there!

Left the hotel and mosied around Stanley Park. Didn't worry about taking too many pics as we'll be back here after the cruise.

Next, we located our hotel and Joe took me to the only the best Vancouver had to offer...Costco for lunch!
Bought some undies and then went to the canada Superstore to shop for a few additional sundries.

Parked our car at the Hampton Inn and loaded 4 bags and 3 carry-ons and boarded the airport shuttle.  Alaska ( by way of Vancouver) here we come!

Good thing we started early! Had to find Delta, get our bags thru, go thru security and then customs! Having our Global Entry cards really helped!

Now sitting and waiting to board. Can't wait till we reach Alaska. I think I'll truly relax then!
